U.S. wine exports hit another record high last year, with California supplying 90-percent of all wine shipped to other countries.

The San Francisco-based Wine Institute reported Thursday that wine sales reached nearly $1.43 billion dollars in 2012, up 2.6 percentf percent from the previous year. This makes third consecutive year for export growth.

The top foreign market for California wines are the countries making up the European Union, followed by Canada, Hong Kong, Japan and China.
